Cyprus and Romania strengthen bilateral relations

June 2009 - Cyprus and Romania recently signed a Protocol of Cooperation to help further promoting bilateral relations in the financial and trade sectors. 

The Protocol was signed after the conclusion of the 13th Meeting of the Joint Cyprus-Romania Committee by Director General of the Planning Bureau Andreas Moleskis, who headed the Cypriot delegation, and Romanian Minister of State for Trade and Commerce Gheorghe Marin, who headed the Romanian delegation. 

The Meeting of the Joint Cyprus-Romania Committee reviewed cooperation so far in various sectors.Cyprus is the fifth largest source of inward investment into Romania, with total investments in excess of € 1.7 billion.
