27 seminars for Totalserve so far in 2009

Limassol, October 2009 -- Totalserve Management Ltd, recently returned from South Africa after having completed their 27th seminar on promoting Cyprus as an international business center so far in 2009.   

Totalserve’s most recent seminar was held on 20 October in Johannesburg where the company maintains fully fledged offices. It was preceded by a similar high-level event on 16 October in Cape Town where Totalserve also maintains offices.    

Themed “Navigating the Shoals of International Tax Planning” the two seminars attracted more the 150 lawyers, accountants, tax consultants, bankers and high net worth individuals from throughout South Africa. The South Africa seminars were preceded by similar events in Cyprus, Switzerland, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Greece and elsewhere.  

Addressing the seminars, Chairman of Totalserve, Peter G. Economides, said he was excited by the high caliber attendees and the interest Totalserve’s presentations were generating.  He added: “The Cyprus company as a cornerstone to successful International Tax Planning is widely recognized by South African businessmen and investors. The Double Tax Treaty that Cyprus maintains with South Africa is the best of all the agreements the island has worldwide.” In his main presentation, Economides spoke about the comparative advantages of Cyprus as a global financial centre and referred to the latest developments in the island’s financial services industry. 

The Head of Totalserve’s International Tax Planning Dept, Petros Rialas, analyzed the role of the Cyprus company in International tax Planning  and offered attendees real life examples of inward and outward investments in South Africa via Cyprus and elsewhere. The tax seminars were also attended by the Manager of Totalserve’s South African Operations, Nick Liassou, Chief Representative in Johannesburg, Kerry Daniel and Cape Town Office Manager, Nadia Galatis
